Burger’s Base is a discreet burger joint next to Yoyogi station (you’ll find it right next to the tracks). Their menu offers classic items such as the cheeseburger (that they call “Base Burger”, the teriyaki chicken burger, the avocado burger and their popular Sasebo burger. You can choose between two sizes: the “regular” burgers or the 18cm-wide “jumbo” burgers.
On the quality side: their burgers are homemade and better than fast food burgers. I am not convinced however. The meat is average and the bun too big and too soft. I felt my burger tasted good thanks to the sauce only (and they put a lot of it).
The waiting time was also quite long.
Now, burger joints are surprisingly scarce in this part of town (no comparison with the Shibuya-Harajuku district) so you might want to give it a try and make your own opinion. Base Burger also makes for a good hangout (especially the 2F) as a private café.
